Doula & Women's Holistic Health Support
LONDON PREGNANCY & BIRTH DOULA
The saying is "It takes a village to raise a child", so why does it feel like it falls all on just one person?
It doesn't have to be this way, and you are not alone - I am here to support you in getting into your stride in motherhood.
I bring a devoted ear and inside-out knowledge of the pregnancy and post-partum world - from birthing, feeding, and recovery, to your baby's development and family dynamics.

Every child brings us a new lesson and greater clarity around our path and purpose in life.
Becoming a mum doesn’t have to mean compromising on your dreams, and with a supportive tribe and environment, you can achieve everything you hope for.

WHO DO I HELP?
The mother-baby dyad forms the foundation of family well-being, and my services nurture this special union.
I offer bespoke help to women.
To understand themselves, to empower them, to release that which holds them back - so that they feel fully supported on the journey into and throughout motherhood.
I believe gentle parenting is the way forward to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of both the child AND the mother or carer, who is so often overlooked.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to parenting, and it's my mission to empower the families I support with the knowledge and confidence to make decisions that are RIGHT for them.

"I support women who are interested in their health and the health of their families. Women who want to take the lead on their wellbeing and who are open to trying new pathways."

Doula / Birth Companion
Birth starts not on the day your waters break, or when you start having contractions, or when you go to the hospital for an induction or a c-section. Birth starts way earlier - when you start preparing for that process.

I support your preparation for birth and postpartum as a nurturing birth companion.
I bring you evidence-based information for you to choose the journey that works best for you, throughout your journey to motherhood and beyond.
We work together antenatally and I can support you in childbirth, no matter where or how you choose to welcome your baby.
Chest Feeding Support
Feeding your baby can raise so many concerns; from difficulties with position and attachment and milk supply to understanding what is normal behaviour in a newborn.
I am here to listen, assess and support you in learning and discovering the art of chestfeeding. I can support in feeding difficulties such as breast or bottle aversion, low tone, weaning difficulties, sensorial issues or tongue tie.

Regarding tongue-tie; I can help to get a diagnosis and refer as needed, and carry out treatment pre-procedure as well as rehab post (if required, I can refer you to other health professionals such as Midwives, IBCLC and Paediatricians).

Sling Consultation
Babywearing has many benefits. It encourages bonding, helps to regulate temperature, heart and respiratory rates, it promotes and encourages the establishment of a successful breastfeeding relationship and reduces crying both duration and frequency.
It can be a great tool for parents with children who experience reflux, colic or to help to prevent flat head syndrome.

However choosing the right baby carrier can be confusing.
I help find best option of sling by looking at the carers needs and bodies, as well as the child, and then show you how to set it up correctly to be ergonomic for both.

" With her devoted ear, ‘spot on’ questions and ‘inside out’ knowledge of the pregnancy and postpartum world, from birthing, feeding, and recovery, to family dynamics with older kids, Laura has helped me feel thoroughly supported during these special times.
I can’t recommend Laura enough! My sessions with her pre- and post-partum have been absolutely precious. "
